There are three catagories of membership.
A - dues paying qualifing governmental entities
B - non-dues paying qualifing governmental entities
C - all others
A - members are assesed based on the 2000 census at a rate of $2.26 per person. A minimum of $750 is required with a maximum of $4,000. Counties pay a flat rate of $2,300. Dues are assesed from July 1 through June 30th each year. The governing board reviews the assesment rate and limits each year. An Interlocal agreement and designated representative form is required. The representative may vote at the annual memebership meeting. A members are eligible to be elected to the governing board. A Members are eligible to receive publications and the professional and techincal services provided by WCNDD. A Members generally receive these services at a reduced amount or at no futher cost as determined by the DISTRICT.
B Members do not pay dues, but have signed an Interlocal agreement and provided a designated representative form. They are on a fee for service basis. The fees are set by the governing board. The representative may vote at the annual membership meeting. They are not eligible to be elected to the governing board.
C Members are individuals, private businesses, for profit or not-for-profit businesses organiztions, and non-city, village or county governmental agencies or quazi governmental agencies within the DISTRICT who pay dues to the DISTRICT. C Members have no voting rights except as may be allowed as a private sector representative on the Governing Board. C Members are entitled to DISTRICT publications, newsletters and special mailings.
C Member levels are as follows;
Diamond $5,000
Platinum $1,000
Gold $ 750
Silver $ 500
Bronze $ 250
Quazi Governmental Entities $100 |
